Since I started painting oriental brush painting technique I got used to a brush that ends in a fine point.
Kolinsky sable brushes are the best, in my quest for the perfect one, I found a brand in Paris, Amagraph, they are well cut and a big brush comes out to a fine point. I use two brushes when I paint, one loaded with paint and the other one clean to pull the paint and make gradation or a soft edge.
Kolinsky sable brushes for watercolor are the best, the Amagraph brushes where used for so long they no longer hold a perfect point, so had to replace them. As for chinese brushes for sumi-e and calligraphy OAS , Blueheron Arts or Hmay from China, have the best brands.
